Design Philosophy
A Room Built Like a Table
The interior is conceived as a single, continuous room where the same craft that goes into the food and the cards is applied to the walls, floors, and furniture. Deep forest-green walls provide a dark, enveloping ground, while warm cream linen and muted copper accents add warmth and a subtle metallic highlight.
The palette is limited to forest, cream, charcoal, and copper, creating a cohesive visual world. Materials are matte and tactile: wood, stone, and felt. Copper is used sparingly as the only metal accent, appearing in light fixtures, table details, and small decorative elements.
The Main Dining Room
An Intimate, Warm Setting
The main dining room is designed for comfort and conversation. Tables are spaced generously, and the lighting is warm and low, with individual pools of light over each table. The deep green walls absorb sound, creating a quiet, intimate atmosphere.
Seating is a mix of banquettes and freestanding tables, upholstered in cream linen. Wooden tables have a matte finish, with copper details on the edges. The room accommodates approximately 60 guests without feeling crowded.
Lighting as a Design Element
Lighting is a key part of the interior. Custom copper pendant lights hang over each table, casting a warm glow that highlights the food and the faces of diners. The rest of the room remains in softer shadow, creating a sense of depth and privacy. Pendants are dimmable to adjust the mood throughout the evening, while wall sconces with cream linen shades provide additional ambient light. No harsh overhead lighting; the effect is akin to candlelight.
Private Dining
The Copper Room
For private events, Epic Urean Dining offers a separate room with its own entrance and a more intimate scale. The Copper Room features a long communal table, deep green walls, and a striking copper light installation that runs the length of the ceiling.
Seats up to 14 guests. Can be configured for boardroom-style dining or a more relaxed lounge setup. Includes a dedicated service area and sound system.

The Poker Lounge
A Room for Cards and Conversation
The poker lounge is a distinct space with its own character. Deep forest-deep walls, felt-covered tables, and low copper lighting create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and focused. The lounge is designed for live, in-person play only—no screens, no online elements.
Features several professional-grade poker tables with felt surfaces. Comfortable leather chairs in charcoal and cream. A dedicated bar area serving drinks and light snacks.
The Felt and the Copper
The poker tables are custom-made with a deep green felt that echoes the forest walls. Copper chip trays and card shoes add a subtle metallic accent. The lighting is focused directly over the tables, ensuring clear visibility without glare. Tables are oval, seating up to 9 players each. Chips are clay composite in cream, charcoal, and copper colors. No electronic devices are used in the lounge; play is entirely physical.
Flow Between Spaces
One Continuous Room
The dining room and poker lounge are connected by a short corridor lined with the same forest-green walls and cream linen panels. The transition is subtle: the lighting shifts from warm and intimate to slightly more focused, and the materials change from wood and stone to felt and leather. The effect is of moving from one room to another within the same well-built house.
The corridor features a small copper sign indicating the lounge. Acoustic treatment ensures that noise from the lounge does not disturb diners. Both spaces share the same design language, creating a cohesive experience.
Materials and Craft
Wood, Stone, and Felt
The interior relies on a few key materials, each chosen for its tactile quality and durability. Tables are solid oak with a matte finish; the bar top is honed stone; and the poker tables are covered in a high-quality wool felt. These materials age gracefully and develop character over time.
Oak
Locally sourced and finished with natural oil. The matte surface feels warm under the hand and resists wear without looking polished.
Stone
Honed and sealed to resist stains while maintaining a matte look. The bar top and service surfaces carry a quiet, grounded weight.
Felt
A deep green wool felt that matches the forest walls. It covers the poker tables, softening sound and providing the right surface for cards and chips.
Copper Accents
Copper is used sparingly but deliberately: in light fixtures, table edges, door handles, and the poker chip trays. The metal is left unlaquered, so it will develop a natural patina over time, adding to the room's lived-in feel. All copper elements are custom-made by a local metalworker. The patina will darken slightly, enhancing the warm, low-key aesthetic. Copper is never used as a large surface, only as an accent.
